Long Time, No Post

Eeep! It’s been a while! Now that the pressure of holiday knitting has abated, I plan to update more often. Like…once a month or so.
For now, I’ll just share with you the fate of the box on my doorstep:

To encourage him to wear it often, I tell him how rugged and manly he looks in it, as though he’s about to go out and hew logs or something. The colorway (Fringed Sagewort, Beaverslide Fisherman’s Weight) is almost a dead ringer for the Upland Green in Mr. Tweed’s original Cobblestone. I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out, but more pleased at the prospect of now making lots of things for ME ME ME. ![]()
Wow, that Cobblestone turned out beautifully! No, handsomely! It’s quite rugged and manly. Yes, he looks like he is about to go chop wood or something equally muscle-bound. Truly, though, it turned out so well and I may just have to reconsider making a sweater for my picky husband one of these days. I’d love to try the Beaverslide, as well.
Nice to see you posting again! Mr. Tweed??!! Now my husband wants a Beaverslide Cobblestone.
What a great blog! My first time and I love your pictures and set up! Wanted to let you know that I added your Amanda Hat pic to my “Amanda Hats” Gallery on my blog. (on the right sidebar) Thanks so much for sending it and, if you knit any more of that pattern or any others of mine (under Gina House on Ravelry designers), I’d love to see them! Happy Knitting!
Funny, I just finished this for my brother and I was thinking the same thing…now I can knit for ME!! Yours looks great.
Wow, that turned out great!! I may have to add this to the to-knit list for Jim!
How lovely! I hope he wears the crap out of it! I just finished a sweater with Beaverslide - it’s heavenly!
Seriously - when I first saw the pic, I thought it was Brooklyn Tweeds and you were saying that you were GOING to make it! Bravo. Dead ringer.
How could I have missed this?? I LOVE how it turned out. I have a thing for tweed, especially for men. It’s beautiful!! Was it a pleasant knit?
